The Internet Society Elections Committee is pleased to announce the final results of the 2023 elections, the IETF selection for the Board of Trustees, and the Board of Trustees appointee.
Voting concluded on 14 April. The results were announced, and the challenge period was opened on 17 April. The deadline to file challenges was 24 April at 15:00 UTC. No challenges were filed. Therefore, the election results announced on 17 April stand.
- In the chapters election, Ramanou Biaou and Caleb Ogundele have been elected to 3-year terms.
- In the organization members election, Ted Hardie has been re-elected to a 3-year term.
- Following the process documented in RFC 3677, the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) has re-selected Laura Thomson on behalf of the Internet Engineering Task Force to serve on the Internet Society board for a 3-year term.
- In accord with Article II, Section 1. (d) of the Amended and Restated By-Laws of the Internet Society and as further outlined in Resolution 2023-5, Olufunke Baruwa has been appointed to a 3-year term by the Board of Trustees.
The terms for all five trustees will commence with the Internet Society Board of Trustees 2023 Annual General Meeting in June.
