The Internet Society’s Nominations Committee is now inviting nominations for candidates to serve on the Internet Society Board of Trustees. If you or someone you know has the interest and qualifications to help guide the future of the Internet Society, please consider submitting a nomination.
The Internet Society’s by-laws specify that a total of four trustees are to be selected each year by the Internet Society’s Chapters, Organization Members, and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). The number for each community changes annually to maintain the board’s balance.
In 2023, Organization Members and the IETF will each select one trustee and Chapters will select two trustees. Following an orientation program, all new trustees will begin 3-year terms commencing with the Internet Society’s Annual General Meeting in June.
The Board of Trustees provides strategic direction, inspiration, and oversight to advance the Internet Society’s mission of preserving the open, globally connected, secure and trustworthy Internet for everyone. Trustees also currently serve as members of the Internet Society Foundation Board.
