Xtracta, a New Zealand based software development company, started deploying IPv6 in 2013. They were faced with the problem of acquiring new IPv4 address space, so decided to take the plunge into IPv6.
In August 2013, Jonathan Spence from Xtracta prepared a document, entitled “Basics of IPv6”, that is meant to provide tips for IT administrators looking to get started with IPv6. It highlights key concerns regarding purchasing and design decisions – and provides a number of recommendations for people to consider when planning their own IPv6 rollout.
Please visit our IPv6 Case Studies page for more examples of IPv6 deployment.
